Here are some of the charities CORE supports...

Brain Injured Childrens: The Going Bananas Show

In 2013 and 2014 CORE has sponsored the Brain Injured Childrens' Trust by supporting four children to attend their annual show. In 2014, the show is called Going Bananas. The Trust works with hundreds of special needs organisations, to select the children/families that get to attend the show. Generally the children have learning, social, physical, medical or mental ailments.

Autism NZ: Canterbury Annual Special Needs Children Bowling Party

The Canterbury Annual Special Needs Bowling Party treats children and caregivers to a fantastic and memorable day out, while additional funds raised by the event will provide ongoing support to Autism New Zealand Inc.

Autism NZ works directly with individuals and families who have a child with an autism spectrum disorder. It provides training, seminars, and information education resources, as well as advocacy support for families when dealing with local and government organisations.

Autism NZ has branches throughout New Zealand. With limited funding, Autism NZ is reliant on donations to continue to provide important services to those who need it most.

@Heart Kids Day Out Variety Show 2014, Christchurch/Canterbury

Kids Day Out

Kids Day Out is a live variety show for children who have special needs or who may need some extra support and attention. The show is full of clowns, jugglers, magicians, laughter and awe for the young and the young at heart.

@Heart has been supporting heart kids and their families since 1984. It is the only organisation in New Zealand dedicated to providing lifelong support for the 12 babies born every week in New Zealand with a heart defect and for children who acquire a heart condition as a result of a childhood disease such as rheumatic fever.

@Heart provides such things as local one-on-one family support, information and education, specialised equipment, camps, family matching, social affiliation, psychosocial support, and financial assistance to affected children and their families.

Rotary Club Christchurch Sunrise: Circus Quirkus

Circus Quirkus

This non-animal circus showcases some of the world’s finest performers. Every child loves a circus and we are proud to be able to host this event again this year for the very special children of the greater Christchurch & Canterbury regions.

Funding raised by the Club each year from this event is returned to the community to identified areas of real need, with the focus on rebuilding our community and current projects benefitting the youth of today.

It is our aim to make a difference, inspire and develop leaders of the future who can positively influence those around them. Collectively we can make a long-term difference in our community. Together we can make it happen.

NZME Special Children's Christmas Party

Special Children's Christmas Party

This event gives 1800 deserving children in our community an experience they will never forget.

NZ Media and Entertainment work with the Cancer Society to create an event for children. The goal is simple: To put smiles on these children’s faces for at least one day this year.

These special children will be treated to a Mini Disneyland of celebrity stage shows, fun rides & entertainment, heaps of activities, yummy food & treats...and thousands of high quality toys to choose from in Santa’s magical toy cave!

However, words on paper can not do justice to what this day will mean to these children. The events run throughout the country in 2015.
