Nicki comes to CORE from Halswell School in Christchurch where she has been actively involved in the school-wide journey towards modern learning pedagogy as they transition to a modern learning environment. 

Nicki is an experienced teacher who has taught across the class levels, from new entrant to year 4. She is Reading Recovery trained, passionate about literacy, and has initiated and led learning through Daily Five and CAFE across her class and other teams. During her career, Nicki has held various leadership roles including literacy and ICT support in a variety of curriculum areas. She has worked extensively in personalising and differentiating learning journeys to meet the needs of all her learners.   

Nicki has also been heavily involved in collaborative e-learning support and networking across Christchurch and other global networks. Recently, she has been working for Sitech supporting teacher learning through the use of various technologies supplied across Canterbury and the West Coast.
